Region 4 donates funds to help young lady battling cancer.

Kristy Leick
In 2002 at just six years old Kristy was diagnosed with stage 4 Ewing’s Sarcoma. As a young child she endured 42 rounds of radiation and chemotherapy and also had to go through extensive surgery. After all of her treatment, she was cancer free for 5 years. In 2007 she was diagnosed with Papillary Carcinoma and had to undergo multiple surgeries. Within a year of being diagnosed with Papillary Carcinoma, Kristy was then diagnosed with Lymphoma, requiring multiple surgeries to remove several lymph nodes. Now, in 2015 Kristy has been diagnosed with Papillary Carcinoma once again. She is preparing to undergo radiation therapy for the next month, which will prevent her ability to work during that time frame.   Throughout all of her endeavors, Kristy remains a caring and fun-loving young lady who always has a positive and upbeat attitude. She is a great example of not to be put down when life gives you tough times.
